Men’s therapy

Male counseling client

I’ve counseled men in all stages of life, from teens to men entering retirement, and walked with them in their search for hope. Some begin our time excited about all things counseling, and others look at me side-eyed, doubtful that therapy works and feeling shame for visiting a counseling office to seek help. In my experience, men cope with unique issues and pressures that impact them in specific ways — even if those things might have culturally shifted over the decades. No matter where you find yourself, you are welcome in my office.

Men’s Counseling: Unique, but not uncommon concerns

A therapist understanding the pressures of the male experience is important. It shapes the approach to healing. Men come for therapy for all kinds of reasons. Here are some of the common themes that I like to work with. Don’t be discouraged if what you are concerned about is not listed. Reach out and we’ll see if I’m a good fit.
